CHARLENE CHARLES June 7, 1931 - July 11, 2018

On Wednesday, July 11, 2018 Charlene Charles, 87, of El Centro passed away peacefully in Brawley, CA.

Charlene Charles was born on June 7, 1931 in Mount Pleasant, TX to Charlie and Daisy Lyons. In 1952, Charlene moved to Imperial, CA and stayed three months. She then moved to El Centro and made it her permanent residents.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton Charles Sr.; sister, Gladys Mckee; brother, Charles Lyons Sr.; grandchild­ren, Denisha Riven and Kaiba Elijah Charles.

Charlene is survived by her 8 children, Sally, Murry, Bobby Charles, Milton Charles, Sr. (Barbara), Donnie Charles, Debra Charles, Tony Charles, Corine Charles and Carl Charles; 18 grandchild­ren; 13 great-grandchild­ren; nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 6 to p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary 1975 S. 4th St. El Centro, CA. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 9 a.m. at One Way Sanctified Holiness Church 610 Broadway El Centro, CA. Burial will immediatel­y follow at Evergreen Cemetery 201 E. Gillett Rd. El Centro, CA.

LOIS LOPEZ Apr. 20, 1927 - July 25, 2018

Lois Lopez, 91, of Oceanside, CA passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Tri-City Hospital in Oceanside, CA. Lois was a former resident of Imperial, CA.

Lois was born in Missouri on April 20, 1927. In 1951, she married Ricardo Lopez in St. Joseph, Missouri. Lois retired from Imperial County Social Services after 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Barbara. Lois is survived by 9 of her 10 children.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, CA. A burial will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 8 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA.

HERMINIA RUBIO GALO Oct. 28, 1922 - July 24, 2018

Herminia Rubio Galo of Niland, CA entered into rest on July 24, 2018.

She was born to Victor and Cecilia Rubio on October 28, 1922 in San Simon, Jalisco, Mexico. In 1952, she married Pedro Galo and immigrated to the United States. They settled in Niland, California that same year. Herminia had a long history working as a tomato packer in the Imperial Valley, along the coast and Central California. She was able to retire in 1985.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Cecilia Rubio; her husband of 39 years, Pedro Galo in 1991; her siblings, Rafael, Julian, Juan, Gregorio, Jesus, Francisca, Maria, Martina, Jacinta, Victoria and Emilia; several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her loving niece and nephews, Gloria Lopez of Brawley, CA, Trinidad Rubio and David Rubio of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico; she is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be forever in our hearts and memories.

Services will be private.
