Michael Tirado, age 56, died peacefully on July 20, 2018, with his loving wife and family by his side after a three-year valiant battle with cancer.

Michael was born March 23, 1962 in Calexico, CA and graduated from San Diego State University in 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration. Michael enjoyed his work of many years with the Imperial County Assessor’s Office as an Appraiser III where he always appreciated the company of his coworkers.

Michael loved being surrounded by family and friends, and always enjoyed family gatherings. He was a religious man involved in many Catholic Church activities, particularly with the Youth Group at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico. Michael will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Alicia Tirado. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Veronica; daughter Alyssa; son Michael Anthony; father, Tony Tirado; brothers Tony (Yolanda), Danny (Gaby), David (Veronica) of Calexico, and Steven (Judy) of El Centro.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 9 a.m., with the rosary at 9:30 a.m., and Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico, CA. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at the Carmen Durazo Cultural Art Center located at 421 Heffernan Avenue in Calexico, at the former De Anza Hotel.
