COLAB announces new board, officers
The Coalition of Labor, Agriculture and Business of Imperial Valley has announced the election of its new board of directors.
Re-elected to the board are Carlos “Chuck” Aniza, Solar, LLC; Bill Collins, Farm Credit Services; Howard Elmore, Sahara Packing; Rodney Foster, Foster Milling; Sue Giller, Reliance Public Relations; Jim Graves, Ewing, Johnson, & Graves; Carlton King, Carlton King Consulting; Peter Osterkamp, Osterkamp Farms; Kurt Rubin, Rubin Seed; Steve Snow, Philips Cattle Co.; Darren Smith, Smith-Kandal Insurance & Real Estate, and Ralph Strahm, Strahm Farms.
Newly elected are Alan Boyce, Boyce Land Co.; Dustin “Dusty” Docstader, Doc’s Organics; Caleb Gaddis, TWG Construction; Sterling “Arkie” Mayes, Imperial County Building Construction Trade Council; George Moses, IBEC #465, and Tom Watson, Tom Watson Electric.
Advisory Board members are Jeff Alford, Alford Distributing; Paul Cameron, Mesquite Cattle Feeders; Michael Dea, Laborer International Union, Local 1184; Jim Duggins, Duggins Construction Inc.; Stephen Elmore, Helmsman Field Logistics; Jeff Mercer, Granite Construction; Jim Duggins, Duggins Construction Inc.; Bill Plourd, El Toro Export, and Blake Reed, Sun Valley Applicators.
The officers of COLAB remain Darren Smith, president; Bill Collins, first vice president; Rod Foster, second vice president, and Jim Graves, secretary/treasurer.
The positions take effect Sept. 1.
COLAB is a non-partisan 501c(6) entity consisting of representatives from labor, agriculture and business that is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the natural and business environments of Imperial County.
