DANNY JOSEPH TORRES

Danny Joseph Torres, 81, of El Centro, CA passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 of natural causes in El Centro, CA.

Danny was born on February 6, 1937 in Los Angeles, CA. Danny married Gloria Gonzales Torres on May 3, 2008 in El Centro, CA. Danny worked with the Department of Reclamation as a Dredge Operator in Needles, California until his retirement after 35 years of service. Thus too his last day, perpetuated his love for the Colorado River. Danny was a great storyteller and was always willing to share his experiences to both family and friends, bringing out the sunshine in his voice, always finishing with a kind word and a lesson to be shared. He loved his family and was Baptized May 19, 2001 as one of Jehovah’s Witness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Camielia Torres and late wife Shirley Torres.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Torres of El Centro, CA; son, Daniel (Vicky) Torres of Yuma, AZ; daughter, Linda Montgomery of Bullhead City, AZ; step-sons, Abraham (Mary) of San Diego, CA, Richard (Cindy), Ralph (Debbie); step-daughter, Elsa (Steve) of El Centro, CA; sister, Margie of Hartcourt, AZ and 15 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Brother Daniel Vizcarra at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 515 W. Aten Rd. in Imperial, CA.
