Maryruth Boggs George passed away November 12, 2017 at age 90.

She was born in Miami, Arizona on October 7, 1927. As a young teen, she moved with her family to San Diego. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1945, received her nursing degree at San Diego County Hospital School of Nursing, and later earned her BSN at University of Utah. Her long career as a nurse included employment at Los Angeles County Medical Center, Fredericka Convalesce­nt Hospital, and the State of California.

She married Alex George in 1970 and they resided mainly in the Bonita area of San Diego. Near retirement, Maryruth and Alex settled in Imperial and she worked at Calexico Hospital. They lived in Imperial for 25 years. After Alex passed away in 2014, Maryruth moved to Yuma, AZ.

Maryruth and Alex were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where they held many positions. Most notable was the work they did in the Young Single Adult program both in San Diego and Imperial County.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Etta Boggs, her brothers, and her beloved husband Alex George. She is survived by her son Mark Tuttle and his family.

At her request, no services were held. She is interred at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in San Diego.
