JUSTIN MICHAEL DENAULT Sept. 20, 1999- Sept. 28, 2018

Justin Michael Denault, 19, of Imperial, CA walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 28, 2018 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born on September 20, 1999 in Brawley, CA to John and Esther (Escobedo) Denault.

Justin attended Imperial schools, graduating from Imperial High School in 2018. He was enrolled at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ with a dream of becoming an Anesthesio­logist.

Throughout his life, Justin was very involved in many activities and he was very passionate in all things he did. While attending IHS he played Freshman, JV and Varsity Football, Soccer and was a Super Star on the Track Team, where he qualified for CIF.

In addition to sports, Justin was an active member of the Imperial Valley Discovery Zone and Future Farmers of America - The Fantastic 9. In 2017, he was selected to attend Boys State and was selected as the 2018 Homecoming King.

He was honored to receive many awards throughout his short life including the San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic Team, JV Boys Soccer Coaches Award 2015-2016, Varsity Boys Track & Field Coaches Award 2017 and Most Improved Varsity Soccer 2017-2018 as well as many academic awards.

Justin was one of the hardest working and dedicated students known and he went out of his way to help anyone he possibly could.

His personalit­y was like no other. He genuinely cared about everyone, was always in the most uplifting moods and spreading as much positivity as he could. He was the one person who really did leave an impact on everyone he encountere­d.

Justin loved to dance; he also loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always out and about with his friends going on adventures and living his life to the fullest. He made everyone he met feel special and touched lives from his hometown of Imperial to his last home in Flagstaff.

Justin adored and looked up to his Dad who was his hero. Together they shared many passions including their love for Harley Davidson Motorcycle­s and were big time Buffalo Bills fans.

With his family, Justin enjoyed extensive traveling with trips to Buffalo, NY, Alaska, Oregon, New York, Canada, Virginia, Washington D.C., Niagara Falls, Rosarito, Mexico and countless camping trips.

To all that knew him, Justin was known for his laid-back style of chanclas and his super fresh Ray Bans.

Justin is survived by his parents John and Esther Denault, brothers Jason and Frankie, and sisters Brianna and Amanda, maternal grandparen­ts Ricardo and Imelda Escobedo of El Centro, Great-great grandmothe­r Elda Baiza, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many beautiful friends, great role models and mentors.

Viewing and Visitation will be held at Valley Christian Church in Imperial on Friday, October 12 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

A Candle Light Memorial will be held at Imperial High School Football Field on Friday, October 12 at 9:45 p.m. following the football game. A Celebratio­n of Life is planned for Saturday, October 13 at the Imperial High School Gymnasium with the viewing beginning at 7:00 a.m. and services beginning at 8:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery immediatel­y following the Celebratio­n of Life.

In lieu of flowers the Justin Denault Memorial Fund has been establishe­d at Rabobank.

PERFECTO “PEPE” ARMANDO MASON July 17, 1964 - Aug. 4, 2018

Perfecto A. Mason, 54, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 4, 2018.

He was born July 17, 1964 in El Centro, CA.

He is survived by parents, Louie and Adelina; daughter, Adelina; sister, Louisa; brothers, Richard, Anthony, Hendry and Louie Jr. along with numerous nephews and nieces, great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services for Perfecto A Mason will be held on October 12, 2018 beginning at 10 a.m. at Hems Mortuary, 1975 S. 4th, El Centro, CA 92243 followed by Interment at Evergreen Cemetery followed by Pot Luck Reception Eagles Hall. Please bring something to share as this is a Pot Luck.

CARLOS PAZ May 8, 1955 - Oct. 4, 2018

Carlos Paz, 63, of San Diego passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018.

He was born on May 8, 1955 in Brawley.

Carlos is survived by his mother, Consuelo Paz; siblings, Arturo Paz, Elvira Gutierrez, Linda Zamudio, Harvey Paz, Yolanda Paz-Gilbert, Manuel Paz, Gloria Camacho and Roberto Paz; children, Adriana Castillo-Paz, Carlos Paz and Roxanne Paz.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley at 9 a.m. Burial will immediatel­y follow at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley at 10:30 a.m.

FRANCISCO GARCIA Oct. 10, 1949 - Oct. 7, 2018

Francisco Garcia, 68, of Calipatria passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018.

Francisco Perez Garcia was born in Oaxaca, Mexico on October 10, 1949. “Pancho,” as most of us knew him by, moved to the Imperial Valley in Southern California in 1974. Francisco worked in the agricultur­e business for Layaye Farms for over 30 years before retiring. One of Francisco’s proudest accomplish­ments was being part of the St. Patrick’s Church choir in Calipatria. For over 30 years, “Pancho” sang hymns with fellow choir members and played his favorite instrument, the acoustic guitar. Francisco was a great friend, a loving husband, and every one of his son’s best friend. “Pancho” will be sadly missed but he has left us with a lifetime of wonderful memories we can cherish forever.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestina Garcia.

Francisco is survived by his children, Leonardo, Oscar, Richardo Garcia and 6 wonderful grandkids.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 6 p.m. at St. Patricks Church in Calipatria. Service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Patricks Church and will be officiated by Pastor Reynaldo Roque.

JOHN WESLEY TAYLOR Nov. 4, 1933 - Sept. 30, 2018

John Taylor, 84, of Brawley passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

He was born on November 4, 1933 in Brawley and was raised in Niland, California and graduated from Calipatria High School in 1951. He then went into the United States Navy where he served 3-4 years, where he traveled all over the world. When he returned he went to work for Pacific Bell until he retired 40 years later.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Kieran Kelly of Brawley; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and H.B. Herrington of Henderson, NV; daughter, Renee Taylor; son, John Taylor II; 5 grandchild­ren, 7 great- grandchild­ren.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. American Legion in Brawley.

ICA CARL ADAMS Oct. 26, 1923 - Sept. 29, 2018

Ica Carl Adams was born in Brawley on October 26, 1923 and passed gently on September 29, 2018 at nearly 95 years old.

He graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1941. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Army. Ica served in World War II as an infantryma­n in the 13th Armored Division within the 3rd Army under General George Patton. After the war, Ica returned to Brawley and started working with his uncle at Adams’ Brothers Dry Cleaners in Brawley, CA. He later started his own independen­t business, Valet Cleaners and Laundry in Brawley.

Ica Carl married Kathleen Thelma Vaughn in 1942. Ica and Kathleen were married for 33 years and had two children, Ike and Stacy. He moved to Cambria, CA in 1980 and lived there until his passing. Ica was a dedicated blood donor; he donated blood regularly from sixteen years of age until within the last year of his life. He received several commendati­ons from the Red Cross; it is estimated that Ica donated over 35 gallons of blood in his lifetime. In his later years, Ica was an artisan; making bird houses and mosaic tile art pieces.

Ica was preceded in death by his former wife, Kathleen Adams, and his sister, Sherran Adams Gause.

He is survived by his children, Ike Adams of Cambria, CA and Stacy Adams Caro of Brawley, CA; five grandchild­ren and their spouses, Amy Adams and Russ Sands of Brawley, CA, Joshua and Mallory Adams of Olympia, WA, Erik and Eugenie Adams of Marina, CA, Jared and Ana Adams of Brawley, CA, and Kyle and Brooke Long of San Diego, CA; and seven great-grandchild­ren.

Services and burial will be private.

JOSEPH E. BRODNICKI Aug. 23, 1936 - Sept. 22, 2018

Joseph Brodnicki, 82, of El Centro passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

He was born on August 22, 1936 in Seattle, Washington and later married Deanna Brodnicki on April 2, 1966 in Las Vegas, NV.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Deanna Brodnicki; daughters, Lonna Keller of Forest Lake, AZ and Tammy Foye of El Centro; son, Brent Brodnicki of El Centro and 2 grandsons.

Military service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego. Celebratio­n of Life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 12 p.m. at The Moose Lodge in El Centro.

JIMMIE CARLTON DOYLE Dec. 31, 1938 - Oct. 7, 2018

Jimmie Carlton Doyle, 79, of Yuma, AZ passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at home surrounded by family and beloved companion, Tuffy.

Jimmie was born on December 31, 1938 in Dalhart, Texas. He met the love of his life, Opal Mae Maharry, in 1957. They married in 1958 and became parents to four children. At the time of Opal’s passing, they had been married for just under 60 years.

Around the time of his marriage, Jimmie’s country music career was gathering speed. He was a natural musician, playing steel, bass, and acoustic guitars, all by ear. Jimmie was further gifted as a lyricist and vocalist. During the 1960’s Jimmie created Cuta Rug Music, B.M.I., One Stop Music Service. His success in the music industry peaked as his single, “One More Night with You” hit number one on the country music charts and held that position for sixteen weeks. As headliner, Jimmie worked numerous Las Vegas and Reno venues, as well as his hometown performanc­es at Brawley Cattle Call and The Midwinter Fair. He shared the stage with performers such Tanya Tucker, Barbara Fairchild, Wynn Stewart, Hank Williams Jr., Kenney Rogers and the First Addition, and Loretta Lynn. He was a lifelong friend of Ralph Mooney, steel guitarist for Waylon Jennings.

As the family grew Jimmie shifted his priorities on being home more often. He earned his real estate Broker’s license and soon opened Town and Country Real Estate. He and Opal successful­ly operated this business for forty years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Opal Doyle; parents, Roger Carl and Mattie Doyle; brothers, Wayne, Richard “Doc” Doyle and sisters, Carolyn Farmstead and Sharon Doyle.

He is survived by his daughters, Cindy (Terrance) Eaton of South Jordan, Utah, Tammy (David) Slater of Yuma, AZ, and son, Jimmie (Daniela) Doyle of Boulevard, CA; sisters, Linda (Danny) Holly of Reno, NV and Laurie (Bill) Ingram of Coeurd’ Alene, Idaho. He also leaves behind 13 grandchild­ren, 11 great-grandchild­ren and companion, Tuffy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 5 p.m. at Sunset Vista Funeral Home, 11357 East 40th St. in Yuma, AZ. Service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Sunset Vista Funeral Home, 11357 East 40th St. in Yuma, AZ. Burial will immediatel­y follow at Sunset Vista Cemetery, 11357 East 40th St. in Yuma,
