LUIS LEYVA

Luis Leyva, 86, of El Centro passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in El Cajon, CA. He was born on August 19, 1932 in Mexicali BC. Mexico.

He married Rosa Maria Perez in 1957, had three children, Rose Mary, Luis Jose, and Susie Ann. He widowed when his wife and baby daughter were killed in an auto accident in 1965. He later married Irene Fernandez on July 31, 1968 and fathered three more children Ricardo Arturo, Fernando, and Claudia Irene.

He owned and operated El Centro TV Repair from 1971 and up to his retirement in 1997.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ramon and Maria Leyva, first wife Rosa Maria, daughter Susie Ann and five siblings.

Luis is survived by his daughter, Rose Mary Rodriguez (Jose)-Mexicali; son, Luis Jose Leyva-Mexicali; son, Ricardo Arturo Leyva (Maribel Padilla)- El Centro; son, Fernando Leyva (Peter Barron)-Valinda CA; daughter, Claudia Irene Castro (Jose)-Fullerton CA; siblings, Socorro Ibarra (Mexicali), Alfredo Leyva (El Monte, CA), Ernesto Leyva (Mexicali); grandchildren, Luis Antonio and Daniela Susana Rodriguez-Mexicali, Tatyana Vanessa and Alexander Jacob Castro-Fullerton CA, Juan Ochoa -Heber CA, PFC Fernando Ochoa-Camp Pendleton CA and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 6-9 p.m. at Hems Bros Mortuary with Rosary being said at 7 p.m. Mass will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in El Centro. Burial immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.
