What do you enjoy most about your sport?

“Just [being] with my friends. I [was at] Central for my sophomore year and then came back [to Southwest] and got to play with my best friends (again). We’re like a family.”

What’s one of the best memories you’ve had playing?

“My best memory [is from] this year, playing against Brawley and having 31 points and 17 rebounds and then beating Central (to win the IVL title.)”

Who inspires you and why?

“My mom and dad, and my coaches, because they’re the ones that push me … to go over and above, like, sometimes during the game I just go with the flow and pass the ball o , pass the ball o — I wouldn’t even look to score — and they tell me that I have to lead and be aggressive.”

What are your goals for the rest of the season?

“Well, we already won IVLs. Second goal is to make it to the finals for CIF, and after that we want to play at State for the first time.”
