Losses mount and characters take stock in latest season of ‘Snowfall’
The story of crack cocaine in South Central L.A. continues, glass blowers unleash their competitive side, an iconic music producer opens up and a “Stranger Things” actor keeps things weird in a mockumentary.

• Bravo is reviving the gameshow “Cash Cab” where New Yorkers and tourists answer questions as soon as they enter the car. If they give enough correct answers before they arrive at their destination, they’ll win money. Three wrong answers and they’re kicked to the curb. The reboot, which begins shooting this summer, includes an upgraded car.
• WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming platform has picked up “The Flight Attendant,” a dramatic thriller based on the book of the same name by Chris Bohjalian about a flight attendant who wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, next to a dead man. Kaley Cuoco (“The Big Bang Theory”) will star in and executive produce the series.
• Netflix has ordered comic book series “The Sandman.” Neil Gaiman’s tale follows the people and places impacted by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he fixes the mistakes he’s made during his long existence.
Contenders: Shows to keep on your radar
• Set in summer 1984, Season 3 of “Snowfall” (FX) continues to explore the spread of crack cocaine through South Central Los Angeles. This season, local law enforcement is paying more attention, much to the annoyance of the CIA who want to ensure the drug’s uninterrupted flow into the United States in order to fund the war against communism in Central America. But as the players finally begin to understand what they have set in motion, they are forced to re-examine their roles in the game.
• Glass blowers get competitive in “Blown Away” (July 12, Netflix). Dramatic artists battling it out in a workshop of fragile glass sculptures. What could go wrong?
• Legendary music producer and Def Jam Records co-founder Rick Rubin chats about creativity and the emotional side of music-making in the docuseries “Shangri-La” (July 12, Showtime, 9 p.m. ET). • Netflix’s “Frankenstein’s Monster’s Monster. Frankenstein” (July 16) is a mockumentary starring David Harbour.
The “Stranger Things” actor “uncovers” lost footage from his father’s televised stage play.
