LONNIE RAY COUNCE Nov. 10, 1953 - July 5, 2019

Lonnie Counce, 65, of Calipatria passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019.

He was born on November 10, 1953 in Booneville, Mississipp­i and later married Lorraine Counce on November 20, 1971 in Memphis, TN. Lonnie worked as a truck driver, paralegal, Instructio­nal aide for Calipatria Unified School District. His many interest included trap and target shooting, fishing, bbqing and loved his dogs. He was a giving person and friend to everyone he met, with a great love of God.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Counce; daughter, Angela Counce; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Allie Counce; grandchild­ren, Donovan Suarez, Chaz Hirales, Gia Miramontes, Gwynn Counce and Sydnee Counce; great-granddaugh­ter, Luna Suarez; brother and sister-in-law, David and Susan Counce; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley, CA and will be officiated by Lorenzo Otero.

STEPHEN ROBERT BUCHER Sept. 3, 1952 - June 28, 2019

Stephen Robert Bucher passed away on June 28, 2019 at the Moores Cancer in La Jolla California.

He is survived by his wife, Annette (Cobleigh) Bucher; children, Seth, Paige and Garrett; mother, Betty (Larkins) Bucher; brother, Gary Bucher and his children, Erik, Sarah and Hannah.

He was born on September 3, 1952 in Brawley, CA, graduated from Imperial High School and retired from Imperial Irrigation District in 2015 after 41 years of service. He loved life, had countless friends and enjoyed the outdoors, camping, boating, cars, flying and motorcycle­s. Steve would always help anyone who asked and even those that didn’t. No one could ask for a better son, brother, husband, dad or friend.

On July 27, 2019, a Celebratio­n of Life will be held at the Moose Lodge, 2310 Myrtle Rd, Imperial, CA starting at 1 p.m. with lunch and sharing of memories.

WILLIAM LAWRENCE “LARRY” TURNER 1934 - 2019

Larry Turner, 84, of Seeley passed away on July 9, 2019.

Larry was greatly loved, admired and respected by family, friends, and his past employees and customers of the company he founded, A&S Services in El Centro, CA. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Larry’s memory will be cherished each passing day until we meet again.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Earlene Farmer and brother, Robert Turner.

Larry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Opal Turner; children, Susan Turner-Patterson, Larry Turner Jr. and Patricia Turner; sister, Betty Lachcik; grandchild­ren, Cassandra Timmerman and Jessica Patterson; great-grandchild­ren Angel and Alexa.

Private Services will be held on August 3, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Cheval Farms in Imperial, CA.

RODERICK “RONNIE” COLOMA II Mar. 24, 1963 - June 26, 2019

Ronnie passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

Mr. and Mrs. Coloma own Erwin and Coloma’s Tree Service which has been a family passion for over 50 years. He would drop jaws with his capabiliti­es and drive.

Lived on through his wife, Christine Erwin Coloma; his parents, Rudy and Marian Coloma; his sister, Lisa Benedict. He also leaves behind his daughters, Christian Lynch and Jordon Salyards; his sons-in-law, Joseph Lynch and James Salyards; his grandchild­ren, Silas, Gabriel, Paityn and Clyde; and his nephews, Christophe­r Reece and Peter Kennedy.

Viewing will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Hem’s Brothers Mortuary in El Centro, CA. A Celebratio­n of life/Potluck, will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 5 p.m. at the American Legion in El Centro, CA.

ELVIRA JIMENEZ July 26, 1929 - July 11, 2019

Elvira Jimenez, 85, of El Centro passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

She was born on July 26, 1929 Ontario, CA and later married Paul Jimenez.

Elvira is survived by her children, Hilda Vasquez, Sonia Pinuelas, Marcos Jimenez and Chacho Jimenez; sisters, Irma Duenas and Virginia Rico; brothers, Jose, Chuco and Liborio Ruiz; 9 grandchild­ren and 17 great- grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 6 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro with Rosary being said at 7 p.m. Mass will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 8 to 9 a.m. Burial will immediatel­y follow at 9:10 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.
