After a physical inspection of the vehicle, Customs and Border Protection officers reported discovering 46 packages in both rear quarter panels and the bottom of both front doors.

The packages had a combined weight of 47 pounds and field-tested positive for meth.

In the court complaint, Perez stated he was offered $3,000 to cross with the drugs.
