Javier Lopez Rodriguez was born on December 3, 1970 i n Brawley, C A to Valente and Maria Rodriguez and was the eldest of f our. Javier attended Brawley Elementary School a nd graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1989. While attending BUHS he participat­ed in football. He earned his associate’s degree in computer aided drafting from ITT Technical institutio­n. F rom a young age, he exhibited a strong work ethic, working at Jordan Implement while attending High School. These characteri­stics held true through his entire life, p roviding him success in multiple positions, including a Lexus dealership in San Diego and then a dealership in San Bernardino, followed by his return to the Imperial Valley where he joined Tint Shop Unlimited and learned to detail vehicles a nd eventually opened his own detail business. He later worked for Coke, and Western Sun product, n ow S un Harvest A G services where he eventually became the Operations Manager and worked for over 20 years. J avier met Anna at AM/PM in Imperial. Javier fell in love with Anna and happily took on the responsibi­lity of being a father figure to Colby and raising him as his own. On November 30, 1996, he married Anna and later grew his family with two daughters, Elena and Mia.

Anna and Javier started their family business Sand Syndicate i n 2001 selling desert apparel at Glamis, Superstiti­on, races and events throughout So Cal, Nevada and Arizona. It was truly a family business as Colby, E lena, and Mia were hired to help. Javier’s loving character welcomed friends and family to share the fun and especially celebrate the holidays.

Javier was involved in our community and was passionate about giving back to it. As y ou all know, he was a part of various associatio­ns and took on many r oles but especially enjoyed being a softball coach. Javier would go o ut o f his way to support local businesses by attending, hosting, and sponsoring people and events. Javier’s unique personalit­y was one that no one would ever forget, his sarcasm, his passion for sports, his one- of- a- kind energy to make strangers feel like family, his determinat­ion to t each others to unlock their potential. Javier will be truly missed by all who had the opportunit­y to meet Javier the compa, friend, coach, Tio, brother, son, husband, and loving father.

He w as preceded in death by his father, Valente Rodriguez and wife Anna Rodriguez.

He is survived by daughters, Elena and Mia Rodriguez of B rawley, CA; son, Colby (Claudia) Sagredo of S an Diego, CA; parents, Valente and Maria Rodriguez of Brawley, CA; sisters, Virginia Rodriguez (Joe) of Brawley, C A and Rosy Vacchi ( David) of S an Diego, C A; brother, Valente Rodriguez Jr. of Brawley, CA and nephew, Nicholas Delgado.

Visitation will be held on Friday, M ay 8, 2020 from 6 to 9 p.m. with rosary at 7 p . m. at F rye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley, CA. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2 020 at 10 a . m. at R iverview Cemetery in Brawley, CA.
