During COVID-19 pandemic, IVC Kitchen has seen a significant increase in requests for food assistance, hygiene items, financial support, laptops, internet and school supplies. IVC Kitchen recently conducted a needs assessment and found that most of our students a ected by the pandemic ranked food, hygiene items, and school supplies as the most pressing needs.
“I feel tremendous responsibility to ensure that we go above and beyond to support our students’ basic needs, especially during trying times such as the ones we are living. It fills my soul to see IVC team members’ dedication during our Emergency Food Distribution Days! I know we are making a di erence in this community and are helping our students and their families. This provides me a sense of hope and drives my team to do the best they can,” said Dr. Martha Garcia, President/Superintendent of Imperial Valley College.
