Man apprehended for attempted homicide
An individual was arrested Wednesday night after an alleged attempt to murder his friend.
Police were dispatched at 11 p.m. to 464 Panzacola St. in the Angeles de Puebla neighborhood, where the injured man’s wife reported that Leonel “Doe,” 26, who previously had alcoholic beverages with her husband, was the responsible party.
After asking his 21-year-old friend if he wanted another drink, the suspect allegedly got up, broke a bottle and used the glass to cut the victim’s neck.
Authorities requested the presence of the Medical Services Unit, whose paramedics reported the wound was non-life-threatening.
The wounded man was taken to the Red Cross clinic for treatment.
The suspect was detained and transported to the eastern substation.
