Woman enters man’s work truck

A female transient reportedly entered someone’s work pickup truck on Thursday morning and refused to leave, county scanner traffic stated.

The incident occurred about 6:05 a.m., El Centro Police Department call logs stated.

The truck was parked in an alley in the 100 block of State Street, scanner traffic stated.

The owner was loading tools into his work truck and left the vehicle open. During this time, the female transient got inside the truck.

The woman had no weapons. The woman reportedly got two battery packs and a set of keys that were inside the truck, and placed them inside her backpack.

The owner’s wife notified the ECPD, and an officer was dispatched to the scene.

The officer came into contact with the woman, advised her of trespassin­g and showed her on her way, as the owner did not desire prosecutio­n. The battery packs and keys were given back to the owner.
