Tony T orres, 48, of Brawley passed away o n Monday, October 5, 2020.

He was born on January 15, 1972 in El Centro, CA and later married Sylvia Marie Gonzales-Torres on September 24, 2020 in Yuma, AZ. Tony w as a lifelong resident of Brawley, g raduating from Brawley Union High School in June of 1 990. He l oved spending time with his family always ensuring they were his first priority. H e enjoyed planning annual trips for his family each summer. Tony was an avid fisherman and enjoyed taking his boat o ut t o meet up with friends from his fishing club. His high school memories of playing basketball created a love for watching his son, Ryan, and he would drive anywhere to w atch him play with the Brawley Wildcats.

Tony was a diehard Los Angeles Lakers fan but also would take a ny bet and cheer on the Denver Broncos as family and friends can attest to. Anyone who had ever met him knows that he easily made friends anywhere he went.

He w as preceded in death by h is maternal grandfathe­r, Encarnacio­n Herrera; paternal grandmothe­r, Margarita Urrutia Rojas and paternal grandfathe­r, Mike Rojas.

Tony is survived by his wife, Sylvia Marie Gonzales-Torres of Brawley, CA; son, Ryan Anthony Torres of Brawley, CA; daughter, Raeyna Marie Torres of Brawley, CA; father, Antonio Urrutia Torres of Brawley, CA; mother, Delia H errera Torres of Brawley, CA; brothers, Harvey H . (Jessica) Torres of Imperial, CA; Leonard H. (Janet) and Christophe­r H. Torres of Brawley, CA; grandmothe­r, Antonia Padilla H errera of Brawley, C A; father- in- law and spouse, Johnny C. and (Angelica) Gonzales; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Private services were held.
