Naked man receives ambulance care Phone stolen from front porch

-

A man who was reportedly naked received treatment from an AMR Ambulance Tuesday evening, El Centro Police Department call logs said.

The incident occurred at the Palmilla Apartments on South Cottonwood Circle, county scanner traffic stated.

A reporting party in the area notified the ECPD at 6:07 p.m. of a clothed man who was yelling and rolling on the ground.

The reporting party suspected the man was possibly under the influence.

The man reportedly tried to attack the reporting party (a man) and attempted to pull the fellow’s pants down.

The man began running east on Ocotillo Drive, ran back toward the reporting party at the apartments and began taking off his own clothes until he was buck naked.

Once ECPD officers arrived, the man reportedly kept getting up and down. An ECPD officer reported that the man was not listening to commands and had begun throwing rocks.

He then reportedly tried to attack officers. Officers eventually detained him.

Even then he seemingly still was being combative, so he was sedated, and his legs were shackled.

The man, a 30-year-old from Mexico, was then turned over to the ambulance.

A red iPhone XR was reportedly stolen from the front porch of a home in El Centro, El Centro Police Department call logs stated.

The incident was reported to ECPD Tuesday afternoon.

The reporting party reportedly captured video of the theft with a Ring surveillance camera. A DoorDash delivery person is suspected of stealing the phone.
