Georgia Morris, 77, of El Centro passed away on January 30, 2021.

She was born on April 7, 1 943 in El Centro. F or more than 40 years Georgia worked in the medical field. At least 21 of those years was for the El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC). She started as a Nurse’s Assistant and worked her way up to Licensed Vocational Nurse after obtaining her Associate o f Arts degree in Nursing from Imperial Valley College in June 1980. After leaving ECRMC she went on to w ork for 2 skilled nursing facilities. Her last 10 years of work were spent as a Home Health Care Nurse before she finally decided to retire.

As a n avid seamstress, Georgia enjoyed spending some of her free time sewing. She made most of her clothes during her teen and young adult years. More r ecently she took to making little outfits (with matching headbands) for her great granddaugh­ter, Miss Aaliyah. She also added “jewelry maker” to her craft repertoire.

Georgia was a woman of deep faith who grew up in the church. She was taken to church by her mother as a child and teenager. She believed in Jehovah and Jesus Christ as the ransom sacrifice. All who knew her knew of her love f or and faith in Jehovah God.

Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Ray Morris; brother, Milton C. Harper; parents, Paul and Josephine Harper;

She is survived by her, brother, Freddie Watson (Katrina); children, Deegra S avage (Daniel) and Merritt Morris (Michelle); grandchild­ren, Brianna Morris, David Savage and Sierra Morris; great- grandchild­ren Aaliyah and Nathan Morales; A host of n ieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Zoom Virtual Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, F ebruary 13, 2021 at 1 p .m. Burial will be held Monday, M arch 8th at 9:30 a.m. at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 V an Buren Blvd Riverside, CA 92518.
