Born on September 10th, 1971 Mercy was the youngest child o f Paul and Linda Verdugo. Mercy married Stephen Ferrel and had three children, Stephanie, Mia, and Steven Jr. (Stevie.) Mercy greatly adored her family and considered them her best friends. Mercy passed her kind smile, infectious laugh, and huge gracious s pirit to her three children.

Mercy was very w ell loved by all fortunate enough to know her. Whether you were an old friend, a coworker, or an acquaintance, M ercy knew how to make you feel special, and loved. She saw the beauty in everyone and everything, she never passed judgment, and prayed for all she knew. She was thankful for all God blessed her with and showed her thanks every chance she could.

Mercy was last employed by Pioneers Memorial Hospital and was very proud of her work. She enjoyed her job and spoke highly of all her coworkers that quickly became friends. She enjoyed taking care of the hospital staff, and extra care of p atients that she knew even more.

Mercy was a joy to be around. Her infectious spirit was seen by everyone who saw her dance, heard her laugh and tell jokes, and watched her love her family and friends. She was the first and last person on every dance floor, and never shied away f rom a dance battle or t he chance to make you laugh.

Mercy is survived by her husband, children, mother, Linda; siblings, Joe (Cindy), Nick (Irma), Connie and (Paul Jr. (Yvonne); nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul; and her maternal grandparents, Isaac and Concha Caballero.

Mercy’s light was taken from us too soon, b ut all who knew her will continue to carry her heart of gold with us until we get to dance with her again.
