Calexico 10 Theatres reopening Friday
Los Angeles-based Metropolitan Theatres Corp. confirmed Monday that the Calexico 10 Theatres, 2441 Scaroni Ave., are reopening Friday.
Ticket prices remain $5 with a small surcharge for 3D movies.
The facility’s reopening will feature enhanced safety procedures in accordance with current local guidelines, and will take a three-step approach in creating awareness of these measures:
Theater experience safety procedures: The moviegoer will be alerted to what they can expect and experience when they enter the theater.
Employee safety procedures: Guests will be advised of the plan to keep both employees and guests safe.
Food/concessions safety procedures: Details the safety precautions taken for food service at the theater.
Additionally, Metropolitan Theatres said it has aligned with CinemaSafe. org, created by the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), to voluntarily follow a set of health and safety protocols developed by a team of industry experts based on guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Metropolitan Theatres also introduces “Your Private Screening” offering intimate movie screenings of new theatrical releases for up to 20 family and friends for $99, or guests can bring their own blu-ray for $75. A $5 booking fee will apply. To add to the exclusive experience, guests can pre-order concessions to be delivered right to their seat.
