Calexico 10 Theatres reopening Friday

Los Angeles-based Metropolit­an Theatres Corp. confirmed Monday that the Calexico 10 Theatres, 2441 Scaroni Ave., are reopening Friday.

Ticket prices remain $5 with a small surcharge for 3D movies.

The facility’s reopening will feature enhanced safety procedures in accordance with current local guidelines, and will take a three-step approach in creating awareness of these measures:

Theater experience safety procedures: The moviegoer will be alerted to what they can expect and experience when they enter the theater.

Employee safety procedures: Guests will be advised of the plan to keep both employees and guests safe.

Food/concession­s safety procedures: Details the safety precaution­s taken for food service at the theater.

Additional­ly, Metropolit­an Theatres said it has aligned with CinemaSafe. org, created by the National Associatio­n of Theatre Owners (NATO), to voluntaril­y follow a set of health and safety protocols developed by a team of industry experts based on guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organizati­on, and the U.S. Occupation­al Safety and Health Administra­tion.

Metropolit­an Theatres also introduces “Your Private Screening” offering intimate movie screenings of new theatrical releases for up to 20 family and friends for $99, or guests can bring their own blu-ray for $75. A $5 booking fee will apply. To add to the exclusive experience, guests can pre-order concession­s to be delivered right to their seat.
