Lillie Lopez Zamudio, 82, of Escondido, CA passed away on March 29, 2021.

Born January 3, 1939, in Oxnard, California to Pablo and Maria Lopez. She grew up in El Centro, CA but moved to Escondido in 1983.

She volunteere­d for the church, assisted with the elderly and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed helping others. She held various jobs including working as a model, drug store, U .S. P ublic H ealth Service, c ounty hospital, a bookkeeper and an office manager in the medical and waste management fields.

Her greatest love and joy were being a daughter, a wife, a m other, a grandmothe­r and a great- great grandmothe­r. The love o f her life was her husband, Justo, w ho she was married to for 42 years. She loved to s ay her prayers and her rosaries.

She is survived by h er two daughters and son— in- law’s, Suzanne and William P eden of E scondido and Julie and Rene Tristan of Escondido; sister and brother- in- law, M ercy and Honorio Garcia of E l Centro; sister- in- law, Frances Esperanza of Calexico; grandchild­ren Gina, Marlene, William, Sonny, A nthony, S tephen and Alexander, great- grandchild­ren Paul Jack, Olivia and Ophelia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by h er daughter, Lillie and her husband Justo; her parents Pablo and Maria Lopez; sisters Angie, Lupe and Josie and brothers Manuel and Paul.

Viewing with rosary recited is scheduled from 4 to 8 p .m. W ednesday, April 14, 2021 at Alhiser- Comer Mortuary. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2021 at S t. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Alhiser- Comer is handling arrangemen­ts.
