BILL LESLIE HAWORTH

Feb. 14, 1976 - Apr. 5, 2021

-

Bill Leslie Haworth was born on February 14, 1976 in El Centro, California, changing Valentine’s Day forever for his mother.

He attended elementary and high school in El Centro and participated in soccer, dance, swim team, and 4H as a child until skateboarding became his obsession. Bill was a brilliant and talented person who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone who needed it, whether he knew you for years or minutes. He was very gifted, especially when it came to music. He played multiple instruments and was selftaught and played by ear. Literally one ear, since he was deaf in the other from a childhood illness. He played trumpet and tuba in the Great Spartan Band in high school, and played guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard and sang in several bands over t he years and wrote many of his own songs. He was an artist, painter, avid reader, very deep thinker and feeler, and studied multiple subjects. He enjoyed watching the sunset, laying in the grass with the sun on his face, and being in nature.

Unfortunately, drug addiction stole our handsome, smart, charming, caring, creative son /brother/ uncle/ nephew/ cousin and he lost the battle with his demons on April 5, 2 021 in Hollywood, California at the age of 45.

Bill is survived by his parents, Dennis and Carol Haworth; his sister and her husband, Joy and Michael Ceasar, and his nephew, Luke Ceasar, all of El Centro, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins across California.

He w as preceded in death by h is maternal grandparents, Bill and Doris Likins and paternal grandparents, Leslie and Betty Haworth.

Bill will be remembered for his brilliant mind, kind heart, great smile, and ability to “sell ice to an Eskimo”. R est in peace, Bill.
