Marivel Perezlucer­o passed away on October 22, 2021, in E l Centro, California o f natural causes following a short illness. S he w as 6 1. Marivel was born on May 24, 1960, in Mexicali, BC Mexico to Jose Rodriguez Quinonez a nd D ominga Quinonez G onzalez and was one of 18 children. Marivel attended Escuela Secondaria N umero 10, Colonia Independen­cia in Mexicali w here s he played o n the basketball team. After graduating in 1975, Marivel moved to Los Angeles with h er mother and siblings for a short period of time before moving and residing in G uadalajara, Mexico, and San Diego, California where she managed several residentia­l and commercial properties.

Following the death of her husband, M arivel moved to t he I mperial Valley and spent much of her time with her immediate and extended family members, which included her daughter, Karla Acuña, g randdaught­er, Itzel C ontreras, and

Following the death of her husband, M arivel moved to t he I mperial Valley and spent much of her time with her immediate and extended family members, which included her daughter, Karla Acuña, g randdaught­er, Itzel C ontreras, and grandson, Leo Max Contreras who were all the apple of her eye. Marivel had a zest for life and was known by her friends and family f or h er a mazing culinary abilities. When Marivel was not babysittin­g or performing other domestic a ctivities, s he would decompress at the casinos one of h er f avorite past times. Marivel l eaves behind s everal siblings a nd r elatives who reside in Sinaloa and Mexicali, Mexico, the Imperial Valley, San Diego, Los Angeles, Arizona, and Texas. Marivel will b e forever missed but never forgotten.

A private viewing will be held at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley, California o n Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 1 p.m.
