MARIO NAVARRO GUILLEN

It is with great sorrow that w e announce t he passing of Mario Navarro Guillen, 64, of Rialto, CA, who passed away on December 15, 2022.

Mario was born on January 20, 1958, in Mexicali, Mexico. His family later moved to J acumba, CA, where he g rew up a nd later graduated from Mount Empire H igh School, class of 1977.

Shortly after graduating, he enlisted in the US Marine C orps, serving proudly for five years and rising to the rank of sergeant. Following his discharge from the military, he went to work in security and continued in that f ield u ntil h is l ast days.

He was kind, generous, and funny. He a lways wore t-shirts with sarcastic phrases. He had many hobbies, such as mechanics; there wasn't anything he c ouldn't fix. He also had a love for music and old movies. He had quite a collection and excellent taste. He was a bit oldfashion­ed in that he still wrote traditiona­l letters to his friends.

He was preceded in death by h is p arents, Agustin and Adelaida Guillen, a nd b rothers, Agustin Jr. and Jesse Guillen.

Mario is survived by his siblings, Gilbert Guillen (Yolanda) of I ndio, CA, Maria Copeland ( Scott) of R ialto, C A, D olores Guillen, C onnie Peralta, and Alma C ady (Jose Hernandez) of El Centro, CA; and many n ieces, nephews, a unts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will host a private vigil on February 17, 2023, and he will b e laid to rest o n February 18, 2023, at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
