PARIS: I’M NOT A PARTY GIRL

The former club-scene queen says she’s grown up and mellowed out — and isn’t as “dumb” as people might think

Paris Hilton tells In Touch her wild days are behind her.

Paris Hilton has come a long way since her wild nights on the Hollywood party scene and her 2006 arrest for DUI. “We all make mistakes,” says the 35-year- old former reality star. “Good and bad experiences have shaped me into the person I am today.” Newly single after her breakup from Austrian multimillionaire Thomas Gross after a year of dating, Paris, who just released a limited-edition perfume, Heiress, talks to In Touch’s Natalie Posner about her globe-trotting DJ career, how her famous aunts Kim and Kyle Richards are getting along and her biggest A-list fan.

So no major regrets from your younger, wilder days? PH: Being a party girl is still part of who I am. I really love entertaining people; I’m about to start my fourth year as a resident DJ at Amnesia nightclub in Ibiza. I definitely trusted the wrong people, but I honestly wouldn’t change anything. And I certainly learned a lot. Like what? PH: I’m smarter about who I surround myself with. I’m more responsible and grounded — and I realize what’s important in life.

What’s important to you now? PH: Being a businesswoman, my fragrances and designing my lines of clothes and products. And I’m beyond excited about becoming an aunt! [Sister Nicky, 32, is having a baby girl this summer.]

Congrats! How is your sister doing? PH: Her tummy just popped! She’s one of those gorgeous pregnant women. She’s always glowing.

Speaking of family, how’s your aunt Kim Richards? PH: She’s great. She’s excited to become a grandma. Her daughter Brooke is pregnant, which is exactly the blessing Kim needed.

She and your other aunt Kyle Richards famously fell out on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Have they seen each other lately? PH: Yes, we all just celebrated my cousin’s birthday at Koi in LA.

Do you still speak to your former bestie Nicole Richie? PH: I haven’t seen her for a while. We’re both very busy with work. I’m so happy for her and her family.

Any lingering misconceptions about you you’d like to clear up? PH: People think of me as a dumb blonde from The Simple Life, but that was a character I was playing. That’s not really who I am! ◼
