Kate Gosselin accused Jon of committing serious crimes

She was furious. Kate Gosselin called police on April 23 last year to report that her ex-husband, Jon, had picked up their daughter Hannah, then 10, from school “and she doesn’t know where she is and is worried,” she told the responding officer. “Kate could have just called Jon to check on Hannah,” says an insider. “Instead, she called the police and made claims about Jon.” It got much worse. In Touch has exclusively obtained three never-before-seen police reports that detail the Kate Plus 8 star’s bombshell and criminal allegations against Jon (see documents at left). According to the police reports, Kate charged to police that Jon is a drug dealer, that he “kidnapped her daughter” and that his behavior with Hannah was “suspicious.” Her shocking and vitriolic claims show how toxic their relationship has become when it comes to their kids, twins Mady and Cara, 16, and 12-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. “Jon didn’t even know all of what Kate had accused him of until he saw the police report himself,” explains the insider. “He believes Kate will stop at nothing to get what she wants — even if it means lying to

police. She has no boundaries.”

Hannah told cops she wanted to stay with Jon. Officers who responded to Kate’s initial call reported that the little girl “was safe and sound but did not want to return home.” Hannah also told officers that she “did not want to go home to her mommy because Mommy and ‘Steve’ [ believed to be her bodyguard Steve Neild] are always yelling.”

But Kate wouldn’t let it go. The next day, a report says, Kate told cops Jon had “kidnapped” Hannah and was “a drug dealer who uses his disc jockey employment as a front to sell narcotics.” Kate summoned police again on April 27 because, she told an officer, she feared her gun-owning ex would engage her in “a hostile dispute.” She even added that she’d “detect[ed] suspicious behavior” between him and their child. “Jon had no idea at the time that she accused him of having an inappropriate relationship with Hannah,” says the insider. “He was upset when he found out.” In all three instances, police refused to get involved, instead advising Jon, 39, and Kate, 41, that their issues were civil, not criminal, and should be handled by their lawyers.

They were. At an emergency custody hearing requested by Jon, a judge found no evidence to support Kate’s accusations, says the insider, who believes Kate lashed out because she was upset that Hannah didn’t want to leave and go film Kate Plus 8. “All Kate cares about is her paycheck,” says the insider. “Jon’s been fighting so the kids don’t have to film and is ready to go for joint legal custody. He misses them every day. He doesn’t understand why Kate is still so angry after all these years.” ◼
