In Touch (USA)

10 REASONS

Lies, manipulation and a whole lot of acting! In Touch breaks down how Nick Viall’s search for love is a total sham It’s the Fakest Season Ever!

-

Nick isn’t there for a wife

“I’m ready to get married,” Nick Viall, 36, claimed prior to the show’s Jan. 2 premiere. But Nick’s pal Abby Draper says it’s all a lie. “He’s here for another stint on television,” she reveals. Bachelor Nation villain Chad Johnson agrees Nick’s doing it for fame, telling In Touch, “Every year is getting faker and faker. It’s become more about the entertaining stuff that goes on in the house than the relationships.”

He didn’t really donate the ring

Nick and the girls got to see the engagement ring he picked out for former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe, 31, on a group date to LA’S Museum of Broken Relationships. Nick told the girls that he donated the sparkler, but the truth is “producers took it back after they finished filming,” a source says, adding that the ring was on loan from jewelry designer Neil Lane.

“The Bachelor

isn’t a true dating show, it’s a TV series meant to entertain people,” says a show source.

Producers made Liz confront Nick

Fans were stunned that Liz Sandoz, 29, chose to publicly confront Nick about their one-night stand during a group date exercise in which they had to pretend to dump him. “Liz actually wanted to make light of the situation, but producers told her to say something serious,” says a source. Liz was sent home that night.

Corinne didn’t get naked!

Jaws dropped when Corinne Olympios, 25, took off her top and put Nick’s hands on her bare breasts — in public. But, it turns out, “she had coverups on,” says Corinne’s mom, Peri, adding that most of her daughter’s antics are “fake.” That includes the time Corinne encouraged Nick to lick whipped cream off her boob. “Do you really think a can of Reddi Wip was sitting there?” asks Peri. “It was all for TV.”

…And Corinne didn’t need her beauty rest

Corinne mocked the other girls for getting upset when she skipped a rose ceremony to take a nap, but there’s a lot more to the story. “She fell asleep because she was drunk,” a show insider explains. “Producers weren’t mad; they thought it was great TV!”

Everyone didn’t know the Backstreet Boys

The women went wild when the Backstreet Boys showed up at the Bachelor mansion to teach them choreography and invite them onstage to perform as their backup dancers. They’re good actors — many of the ladies were toddlers when the boy band released its 1996 debut album, Backstreet Boys!

Nick’s trip home wasn’t planned

Episode four was supposed to take place near Charleston, S.C., but Hurricane Matthew hit. They rerouted to Waukesha, Wis., Nick’s hometown. There, Raven Gates, 25, gushed about how honored she felt that Nick wanted to introduce her to his parents so early on, even though that definitely wasn’t his original plan.

Producers asked Nick’s ex to show up

While strolling the streets of Waukesha, Nick and Danielle Lombard, 27, just happened to bump into Nick’s ex Amber during their one-on-one date. “Producers actually made a deal with Amber to be there,” says the show insider, adding that she and Nick even “rehearsed how they were going to act when they saw each other. The whole thing was staged.”

He doesn’t always decide who stays

Why does the over-the-top villain get a rose every week? “Producers forced Nick to keep Corinne around because they knew she would stir up drama and get people talking,” says the show insider. “He had no choice.”

Raven was there for Luke!

Raven may be a front-runner, but it turns out that producers didn’t cast her with Nick in mind. “She was chosen to be Luke Pell’s Southern belle,” says the show insider. (Luke, 32, was set to begin filming when producers decided to make Nick the Bachelor instead.) “Because she’s a cute girl,” adds the insider, “producers kept her around.”
