KATIE BETRAYED BY JAMIE
Despite his secret relationship with Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx is caught getting cozy with another woman
Jamie Foxx only had eyes for one woman as he made his way to the dance floor. And it wasn’t his longtime girlfriend, Katie Holmes. “He literally ran directly to a slender brunette and started dancing and flirting with her — they were both smiling from ear to ear,” says a witness at the Red, White and Bootsy Party at Nobu Malibu on July 4. “Jamie seemed like such a charmer and ladies’ man. He was ready to party and didn’t seem to care who saw him.”
Also seemingly not on his mind: his girlfriend of four years. Though they’ve dated on the DL since 2013, “When Jamie is out, Katie becomes an afterthought,” a friend tells In Touch exclusively, adding that the Oscar winner’s behavior is nothing new. “He used to be subtle when it came to other women, but not anymore. He acts like a single frat boy.” Those close to the Dawson’s Creek alum, 38, are worried. Katie — who was seen arriving in Montreal with daughter Suri, 11, two days before Jamie’s flirty night out — “is very much in love with Jamie and wants to marry again one day,” says a Katie insider. “But Jamie treats her like a booty call. He just won’t commit.”
Jamie won’t even admit they’re dating. When asked on July 3 at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., if he and Katie are an item, Jamie made a goofy expression and kept silent. Initially, he was attracted to the illicit thrill of being with Katie. “When they first started dating, there was this excitement because their relationship was a secret and felt forbidden,” says a source. A second source explains that the pair — who first met in 2006 while Katie was still married to Jamie’s Collateral costar Tom Cruise, 55 — would often meet late at night or early in the morning so they wouldn’t be seen. “They also spent many romantic nights together on yachts because they felt safe to be alone there,” says the second source. Says the first source: “Their relationship was so passionate, but his intention was never to settle down.”
It breaks Katie’s heart. “She has always wanted to be exclusive with Jamie,” says the Katie insider, who adds that there were times when Jamie, 49, seriously considered making a commitment to her but ultimately decided he wasn’t ready. (Jamie is dad to daughters Corinne, 23, and Annalise, 7, from previous relationships, but has never been married.) “He’s constantly going out, eyeing up young women,” says the friend, noting that on June 24, Jamie was seen grabbing an unidentified woman’s rear end at the Maxim Hot 100 party in LA. “This is not how Katie saw her life,” says the first source. “She knows what’s going on, but she loves Jamie and will take things how they are over ending the relationship for good.”
Those close to Katie are urging her to wake up. “Her relationship with Jamie is not normal. They want Katie to find a man who cares about her and can be seen with her in public,” says the source. “Everyone feels she deserves better.” ◼
