HOLLYWOOD TURNS AGAINST KIM
Kim Kardashian is on the ultimate diva trip — and celeb pals are over it
Kim Kardashian has had her critics over the years, but when it comes to Hollywood, she’s had plenty of big-name fans. “She’s so sweet,” Anne Hathaway said after working with Kim on the upcoming movie Ocean’s 8. She’s also a fave of Ellen Degeneres and often appears on her talk show. And just last year, Sarah Jessica Parker gushed about Kim after spending time with her at one of Kanye West’s concerts. “She was lovely,” SJP said, adding that she was “incredibly impressed” with the “gracious” and “hospitable” reality star.
But not everyone’s feeling so charitable these days. “Everyone in Hollywood is talking about how Kim has changed so much. She used to have a side that was sweet and giving…. But now everything has to be about Kim,” a source tells In Touch, explaining that in recent months, the reality star, 37, has become insufferably self-obsessed, controlling and petty. “The best way to describe the new Kim is: Kanye’s all about Kanye, and now Kim is all about Kim.”
BAD INFLUENCE
Some blame Kim 2.0 on the rapper’s influence. “Everyone knows Kanye’s an egomaniac, but they hoped Kim wouldn’t pick up his negative traits,” says the source. “Some of her friends feel Kim thinks she’s above everyone. She talks only about herself, her fame and her money all day and night. Kim can’t stand when other celebrities get attention and doesn’t want to be around anyone unless they’re focusing on her.” She’s started bashing certain stars, too. “She actu- ally said Meghan Markle [who’s engaged to Prince Harry] is nowhere near as royal as she is and that Beyoncé has nothing on her,” adds the source. “And friends are sick and tired of hearing about Taylor Swift every day [see sidebar].”

Friends who talk about their own lives are banished, says the source. “That’s how Kim’s assistant, Stephanie Shepherd, got fired: She had a goal for her future, and with Kim that’s not allowed. Kim must be everyone’s goal — or they are out.” Their four-year relationship made headlines in November shortly after it came to a crashing halt. “Kim claims she fired her because Stephanie wasn’t doing her job well,” says the source. A second source says Kim was also miffed when Stephanie, who made $65,000 a year to be at Kim’s beck and call, asked for a raise. “But everyone knows it’s because Stephanie wasn’t stroking Kim’s ego 24/7,” says the first source.
Kim’s friends, many of whom pull a great deal of weight in Hollywood, have had enough. “They’re sick and tired of her behavior and hope she’ll go back to the old Kim,” says the first source. Until she does, “they’re walking away hoping she’ll realize life is not all about Kim, Kanye and being connected to the Kardashians.” ◼
