KHLOÉ’S Wedding Bombshell
Desperate for her happily ever after — and another baby — Khloé Kardashian decides to take the plunge with her cheating boyfriend
Khloé Kardashian is used to turning heads. But as the reality star strutted into Beverly Hills hot spot BOA on June 24 with Tristan Thompson — her boyfriend and the father of their 3-month-old daughter, True — fellow diners weren’t buzzing about her post-baby body or Instagram-ready looks. They were too busy staring at the massive diamond ring on Khloé’s left hand. Yes, on that finger. “Tristan gave it to her,” an insider tells In Touch. “She’s being coy about what it stands for, but everyone assumes it’s an engagement ring. It’s the biggest ring I’ve ever seen. She is planning a huge party in a few weeks, which she’s saying is for her birthday, but my guess is that’s when she’ll tell everyone she’s engaged.”
After that, it’s on to “I do.” Just three months have passed since Tristan, 27, was caught in a massive cheating scandal involving multiple women while Khloé, 34, was pregnant, but the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has decided she’s ready to commit to the man who betrayed and humiliated her. It’s just one of many reasons the big day is “a recipe for disaster,” says a source. “Weddings are always full of surprises and unexpected snags, but Khloé’s sounds like a ticking time bomb. Any one of Tristan’s groupie girlfriends could crash just to make headlines!” Other potential nightmare scenarios — like her sister Kim’s husband, Kanye West, making a scene or her mom, Kris Jenner, getting wasted and clashing with her ex Caitlyn Jenner — haven’t deterred Khloé. Though friends and family members, who supported Khloé during her marriage to cheater and addict Lamar Odom, have urged her to reconsider, “Khloé is moving full steam ahead,” says the source. “She wants another baby with Tristan. That’s really why she forgave his cheating.”
GUEST-LIST DRAMA
Whatever party planner Khloé hires will have a helluva time making the seating arrangements to keep enemies apart. “Khloé said she wants a huge party at a private home in Malibu with family, friends and whoever Tristan wants to invite,” says the source. That may include his ex-girlfriend Jordan
Craig, 26, the Instagram model Tristan dumped for Khloé when Jordan was pregnant with their son, Prince, who’s now 18 months. Says the source, “There’s a rumor that Tristan wants Jordan to attend with Prince, since he’s True’s big brother.”
Of course, members of Khloé’s own family could cause even bigger problems. The source says the Good American clothing designer will invite her former stepdad, Caitlyn, despite their years of estrangement. (Caitlyn dissed ex-wife Kris in several interviews in 2015 after coming out as transgender.) “She’ll be bringing her much-younger girlfriend [Sophia Hutchins], which will probably piss off everyone,” says the source, noting that Khloé’s troubled, reclusive brother, Rob, might make an appearance with his baby mama and onetime fiancé, Blac Chyna. That would be extremely awkward because Chyna trash-talked the family and filed a lawsuit against Kim and Kris for torpedoing her and Rob’s reality show, Rob & Chyna. (The case was thrown out.)
Another sticky situation: Khloé remains close to sister Kourtney’s exboyfriend Scott Disick. He’s scored an invitation with a plus-one and will likely bring his 19-year-old girlfriend, Sofia Richie. “That will make Kourtney irate,” says the source. But Scott won’t like Kourtney’s date, either: 25-year-old model Younes Bendjima. “Scott can’t stand him,” says the source. “Everyone is going to have to stay in their corners.”
A DEVASTATING NO-SHOW
Kim, 37, could devastate Khloé by skipping the nuptials altogether. Though the KKW Beauty mogul recently mended fences with Tristan after he blocked her on Instagram (she documented their entire awkward reconciliation on social media), the source says that “Kim might not even attend.” No matter what she says, “She hasn’t forgiven him for cheating on Khloé while she was pregnant, and Kim knows he’ll do it again,” says the source. (As In Touch exclusively reported, the Cleveland Cavaliers player had sex with a curvy stunner in November — without using protection — and flew her to another city for a night together in February. And a video that surfaced in April showed Tristan kissing one woman while being groped by another in Washington, D.C., reportedly in October, when Khloé was three months pregnant.)
If Kim does decide to show up, she’ll need to keep her husband, Kanye, in check. The Kardashians are on edge with worry that the famously unpredictable rapper — who called slavery a “choice” in an interview with TMZ in May — could fly off the handle. “No one knows what the hell Kanye will do from one minute to the next,” says the source. “If he goes, you can be sure that he’ll make a speech and probably go on some wild rant, throwing the whole wedding into more disarray.”
FLAUNTING HER LOVE
Viewers might even have a frontrow seat. Though Khloé relocated to Cleveland — and away from the spotlight — to be near Tristan after giving birth to True, she’s back in LA and already plotting a return to the spotlight in the form of a new spinoff (à la Khloé & Lamar, the two-season reality series she filmed with her ex from 2011 to 2012). “Khloé wants the world to see the Tristan she knows,” says the insider. “She truly believes he’s changed and wants to show her fans how great he is.”
Even momager Kris, who helped turn her daughters into moneymaking machines with endorsement deals, product lines and multiple reality series, doesn’t want Khloé to put this relationship on TV. “Kris hates what
Tristan did to Khloé,” says the source, “and she thinks this will end badly.”
But Khloé isn’t listening to anyone — especially when it comes to marrying Tristan. “She’s determined to have this wedding no matter what. She isn’t even asking him to sign a prenup; she wants him to know she trusts him,” says the source. “Even though 99 percent of Khloé’s friends and family are against it, the wedding is going to happen.” ◼
