Miranda Betrayed BY HER BOYFRIEND
Miranda Lambert thought she had a future with musician Evan Felker — but he’s secretly been running back to his ex
Miranda Lambert isn’t afraid to pen a song about a man who’s done her wrong. On her track “White Liar,” the country superstar lambastes a dishonest lover who “don’t lie too well.” Her hit “Crazy Ex-girlfriend” details how she got “mad as hell” and confronted a former paramour and his new gal at a bar. And on “Gunpowder and Lead,” an angry breakup anthem, she warns an ex that “if he wants a fight, well now he’s got one.”
She might be adding a new heartbreak tune to her repertoire soon. Miranda, 34, has essentially been dumped — and doesn’t even know it yet, multiple sources tell In Touch. Turnpike Troubadours singer Evan Felker — whom Miranda has been dating since February and is currently traveling with on her Bandwagon Tour — has been secretly contacting his estranged wife behind her back. Despite blindsiding Staci Felker with divorce papers in February, Evan, 34, recently “told her he wanted her back and wants to stay married,” says an insider. And while Staci publicly claimed on July 14 that Evan called her 22 times in two days, Miranda — who’s still raw from being blindsided by Blake Shelton with divorce papers in 2015 — doesn’t know the extent of his contact with Staci. “She’d see it as the ultimate betrayal,” says a source. “She’d be heartbroken and angry.”
Evan definitely isn’t over his wife. “They talk sporadically, and he’s even asked to see Staci,” says the insider, adding that Evan tends to cut off contact when Miranda — the daughter of private investigators who’s admitted to snooping on her lovers’ phones — gets suspicious. “Staci told Evan that it would take him going public about [ his walking out on her] and telling everyone that he still loves her” for her to reunite with him, adds the insider. “When he heard that, he cried to Staci and said Miranda would never let it happen.”
NO WAY OUT
Evan is terrified of what Miranda will do if he leaves her. “He believes that if he ends things, Miranda will throw him off the tour,” says the insider. “Staci has no doubt that he’s with Miranda to further his career. It was exciting for him in the beginning, but that wore off and he’s realizing he’s stuck.”
Eventually he’ll have to make a choice. The insider predicts Evan will try to win Staci back as soon as he plays his final night of their tour in August — and then he’ll be subject to Miranda’s wrath. “Once again,” says the source, “Miranda has been betrayed by the man she loves.” ◼
