INSIDE THE WALKING DEAD’S CAST SHAKE-UPS

The Walking Dead may be in need of some serious reviving. With Season 8’s disappointing ratings and news of cast favorites Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan (above) leaving after Season 9, “things aren’t looking too good for the show,” an insider says of the AMC zombie series, which premiered in 2010. While Lauren, 36, who plays Maggie, says she’s “open” to returning in the future, Andrew, 44, is leaving for good, despite protests from producers. The insider says the British actor had been thinking about leaving since Season 4 to be closer to his wife and two young kids. “He hates being away from his family while filming in Atlanta,” says the insider, noting that the show’s future may be in jeopardy. “Producers know the show won’t be the same without the most well-known character, Rick.”
