This orphaned cub was found with severe burns from a wildfire in Durango, Colo. “We weren’t optimistic at first,” says local wildlife manager Matt Thorpe. “But we wanted to give it a chance.” Good thing they did: The cub is doing much better, and even got a get-well visit from fire safety mascot Smokey Bear!
