Thebiginterview Sean & Catherine Married for five years, they’re one of The Bachelor’s biggest success

-

It’s been six years since Sean Lowe

brought you closer as a couple? CL: SL: SL:

It definitely has. Our children are very, very important to us, and how we raise them is very impor- tant to us. So if some tiff happened that would’ve been an explosive thing early on in marriage, now it’s like, “Whatever.” It doesn’t even matter anymore. We’re very patient with each other now.

date nights?

A lot of times we’ll go to the trouble of getting a babysitter and getting dressed up and going on a date, but then we think, I kind of wish I was at home on the couch in my sweatpants because that’s kind of our happy place when you’re watching kids all day long. It’s ex- hausting! That’s how old we are!

storyline this season?

See, I didn’t get it [when we were taping] the show. That all came after. Everywhere we went, the press want- ed to talk about it. But this is different because now it’s like the show really wants to talk about it.

Maybe they were trying to get ahead of the news? It’s a bit overkill because that’s all anyone’s talking about. I’m sure he has a lot of other qualities.

more on those qualities?

Yeah! I mean, he’s charitable. He also had a career in football, and he’s really good with his family. I think we want to see more of that. That’s how we’re going to connect to him as the Bachelor and cheer him on.

Any advice?

I think he’s having fun, so no advice from me. Just weather the storm!
