GWEN WANTS A NEW HOME FOR THEIR BABY
Gwen is ready to say goodbye to her past and find a new house with Blake. The pop star recently re-listed The Summit, the incredible 15,500-square-foot Hollywood Hills home where she lived with her former husband, Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale, before their marriage ended amid a nanny cheating scandal. This time, the asking price is $25 million — a $10 million reduction. The seven-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bath house has a serious music pedigree: It was once owned by Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.
Failed fertility treatments were crushing. “When Gwen was going through the IVF process, she’d cry herself to sleep because it wasn’t happening. Blake tried to comfort her by saying it didn’t matter, but his reassurance fell on deaf ears,” explains the source. “She had babies on the brain and couldn’t stop thinking about getting pregnant.”
She eventually gave up hope, adds the source, because the whole process was taking its toll on her emotionally and physically. “There were times she was convinced Blake was going to leave her, but he’d never do that. He loves Gwen regardless of whether they have children together and told her so.”
ALL SHE’S EVER WANTED Friends say Gwen is overjoyed. “And so is Blake,” explains the insider, adding that despite Gwen’s penchant for unusual and unique names, the couple have discussed naming their daughter after Blake’s beloved mother, Dorothy. “Gwen’s very religious, so she can’t stop talking about how her prayers were answered,” adds the insider. “She’s beside herself.”

cently after they gave him handmade birthday cards in June. “Those are the coolest things,” Blake gushed. “It’s something I never experienced in my life.”
WEDDING BELLS
More happiness is on the horizon as well. “Gwen’s going to be walking down the aisle, too!” reveals the source. “Being a pregnant bride doesn’t matter to her. She and Blake will tie the knot before the baby is born, because she wants to make it official by the time their bundle of joy arrives.”
Think winter wedding. “They’re planning to tie the knot around Christmastime,” adds the source, noting that the next season of The Voice — Gwen’s thrilled to be back this fall competing against Blake for the fourth time — will have just wrapped in early December. “It’ll be a small, intimate ceremony at Blake’s Oklahoma ranch with their families and the kids and just a few friends.” (According to the source, even though Adam Levine just exited The Voice after 16 seasons of bromance with Blake on the hit NBC show, Blake remains close to the Maroon 5 frontman and wants him and wife Behati Prinsloo to serve as godparents.)
Gwen’s wedding dress will be a showstopper, of course. “She wants something long, elegant and flowing,” adds the source. “And even though she’ll have a bump and this will be her second marriage, she wants to wear white.” Her sons will be front and center. “The boys will play a big part in the wedding and will walk down the aisle with her.”
But just because it’s small doesn’t mean they won’t go all out. “Blake wants to have a huge bar at the reception so that he and his friends can have their pick of drinks, although Gwen will be sticking to nonalcoholic cocktails for obvious reasons,” says the source. “And there will be a live band playing country music. Blake’s spent hours penning a love song about Gwen that he’ll sing at the wedding.”
A BEAUTIFUL FUTURE They’re eager to start this new chapter of their lives together. So much so that they’ve talked about taking some time off as soon as their Voice contracts allow. “They’d love to leave Hollywood for a year to be a family,” says the insider. Gwen, meanwhile, has drastically slashed the price of the Hollywood Hills home she shared with Gavin during their marriage in hopes of starting
fresh (see box at left).
It’s an exciting time. “The signs are there — Gwen’s glowing, wearing looser clothing and quietly buying baby clothes,” says the insider, adding that the singer is eating differently, too. “She’s having cravings, like ice cream, ice cubes, oranges, and Mexican and Indian food.”
But she’s not ready to tell the world anything yet. “Mainly because of her age,” explains the insider. “But when she does, watch out — she’ll be screaming the news from the rooftops!” ◼
