Lady Gaga sends a clear message to Bradley Cooper when she’s photographed kissing a new guy

Everyone was watching and the paparazzi was snapping away as Lady Gaga took an outside table at Granville restaurant in LA’s Studio City with a new man — her sound engineer Dan Horton. Despite all the attention, “she didn’t seem to care one bit,” a restaurant insider says of the “Born This Way” singer’s July 28 brunch date. “She could have asked to sit in the back where no one would see her, but she chose a table in the front instead.” At one point, Gaga, who was wearing black short shorts that exposed her butt cheeks, even got up and planted a kiss on Dan, 37. Says an eyewitness, “It was almost like she wanted the world to see her kissing this guy.”

Or maybe she just wanted Bradley Cooper to see it. After his June split from Irina Shayk, Gaga thought she and her A Star Is Born co-star would finally be able to be together, multiple sources tell In Touch. It’s not that simple: While they have grown closer since his split — one source says Gaga, 33, even moved some of her stuff into his new NYC townhouse — Bradley, 44, can’t seem

to commit.

“I think a part of her was trying to make him jealous,” says an insider. “She wants him to see what he’s missing. Maybe then he’ll finally commit to her. But also, she can’t sit around and wait forever, so she’s trying to move on.”

If Bradley does see the photos of Gaga and Dan, “he will probably be very jealous,” says a source. But, notes the insider, “he’s still reeling from his split with Irina and trying to figure out this coparenting thing [with Lea, his and Irina’s 2-year-old daughter]. His head is all over the place. It wouldn’t be fair of him to jump into a relationship with Gaga when he’s in that space.”

Some would say Bradley’s a commitment-phobe, too. His marriage to Jennifer Esposito, 46, in 2006 lasted four months. She later trashed him, calling him a “master manipulator” and claiming he had a “mean, cold side” and “the relationship was about him and what he needed, and nothing else.” Bradley also had failed romances with the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Renée Zellweger, both 50. “After that,” says the source, “who wouldn’t be afraid of getting into another relationship?”

NOT A REAL THREAT

But what he has with Gaga may be different. “I’ve seen the way he looks at her — I think everyone has,” says the source. “They’re meant to be together.” And maybe they will be. The insider doesn’t see Dan posing a major threat, and Gaga’s display at Granville might do the trick and light a match under Bradley. “Dan is just a distraction, but Bradley is the real deal,” says the insider. “Trust me, Bradley isn’t about to let her slip away.” ◼
