THE WOMAN KNOWS TOO MUCH KNOWS TOO MUCH

PRINCE ANDREW’S FRIEND GHISLAINE MAXWELL DISAPPEARS AS A SEX-TRAFFICKING PROBE HEATS UP

-

In his disastrous interview with the BBC about the scandal involving his former friend, the now-deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew became flustered when asked about a March 2001 snapshot of him with one of Epstein’s alleged victims, Virginia Giuffre, when he has insisted he never met her or had sex with her, as she claims. “I’m at a loss to explain this,” he admitted, adding that he has no recollection of posing with his arm around the then-17-year-old. “You can’t prove whether or not that photo is faked.”

But there is another woman in that picture, and it was even taken in her house. Smiling in the background is Andrew’s longtime friend Ghislaine Maxwell — who also happened to be Epstein’s former girlfriend, confidante and, according to Giuffre, sex-trafficking ring madam. Now in the wake of Epstein’s suicide (which some have called suspicious), the 58-year-old English socialite appears to be in hiding. “Ghislaine is the most sought-after woman in the world — she knows too much,” a source tells In Touch. “Everyone has questions for her.”

SEX, LIES AND VIDEOTAPE

Ghislaine — who’s spent time with Andrew at Windsor Castle and the queen’s Sandringham home, where Epstein joined her — has been accused of procuring underage women to have sex with Epstein and his wealthy friends in a lawsuit filed by Giuffre. (Ghislaine has also been sued by several other accusers and has denied all allegations.) After the accusations against him were revealed in the documents pertaining to Giuffre’s case (which was settled in 2017), Andrew, 59, begged his pal to publicly defend him, to no avail, claims the source: “And now she’s vanished. He feels betrayed because he expected her to clear his name.”

Too much is at stake. In December, reports confirmed that Ghislaine (pronounced “Gee-Lane”) is also at the center of an FBI investigation. And though she was photographed at an In-N-Out Burger in LA in August, Ghislaine — who made many of her VIP contacts through her father, late newspaper tycoon, politician, pension fraudster and alleged spy Robert Maxwell — hasn’t been photographed out in public since. Reports claim she’s received death threats and is constantly moving around between safe houses where she’s being privately guarded by a security team.

She has good reason to be fearful. “Epstein was meticulous about keeping files. Supposedly he had a great deal of dirt — videotapes and pictures — on the most powerful people in the world,” says a security insider. “Ghislaine is probably the only person who knows where the files are. The thing is, she can’t hide forever.” ◼
