IT'S NOT BRAIN SURGERY

THE MILLION DOLLAR LISTING LOS ANGELES REALTOR MAKES HER HIGHSTAKES JOB LOOK EASY

unique set of challenges. “Not being able to have open houses for most of 2021 means we have to work three times as hard,” explains Tracy Tutor. “I was working nonstop, 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. several nights a week.” Luckily, selling houses is a labor of love for the former actress and divorced mom of Juliet, 15, and Scarlett, 13. “What we do for a living isn’t brain surgery. For me to have the opportunity to be on TV is a really fun, exciting thing.” Here, the 46-year-old talks to In Touch’s Fortune Benatar about the biz, her castmates and her most recent splurge.

Tell us more about the new season. TT:

It’s our most dramatic one yet. The real estate is off the charts. With the craziness of the market, we’re all doing more business than we’ve ever done. I let my guard down a bit and get more personal. You’ll see more of my boyfriend, Erik.

How are things going with him? TT:

He’s very supportive. My hours are just nuts, so when I’m still on the phone at 9:45 at night and he takes it from me, it’s a welcome reprieve.

Who are you closest with in the cast? TT:

The Joshes are always going to be my besties. Altman is like a brother I want to smack every once in a while, and Flagg is like my third teenager. As for Fredrik [Eklund], we were friends before MDL, we’ll be friends after. His heart is in the right place.

What are your thoughts on Netflix’s Selling Sunset?

TT:

Is that actually a real estate show? I’m kidding. Selling Sunset is very entertaining. You don’t really get into the process of actually selling the houses and what that entails. We try to stick to what the show is about, which is high-end real estate.

Could you ever see yourself moving to NYC and joining the cast there? TT:

Watch out, Steve [Gold]! I actually love Steve. He’s a great guy. We’re doing some pretty big deals together. But, yes, I love New York, and I think I would ruffle some feathers there for sure!

What was the last splurge purchase you made?

TT:

The [Randy Zieber] chandelier that’s going in my new living room. I almost threw up when I saw the purchase order — it was like $19,000. It’s ridiculous! But once you see perfection, how do you go back? ◼
