Children’s theater:

Summer concert series:
Ontario’s 25th summer concert series presents concerts 7 p.m. every Wednesday through Aug. 3 at Ontario Town Square, 224 N. Euclid Ave., and 7 p.m. Aug. 11, 18 and 25, at Celebration

Author presentation:
Ric A. Dias, author of the new book “Kaiser Steel of Fontana: Together We Build,” will speak and sign copies of the book at noon at the Barnes & Noble store at 5183 N. Montclair Plaza Lane, Montclair. He will also appear 5 p.m. July 29 at the Barnes & Noble store at 11090 Foothill Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga.
Writers’ group: The San Dimas Writers Group meets 1 p.m. Wednesdays at San Dimas Senior Center, 201 E. Bonita Ave., San Dimas. The group is open to published writers and anyone else interested in joining a community of writers. There is no cost to join.
Thursday Claremont Heritage:
David Allen, a columnist for the Southern California News Group, will read from his recently published book “100 Years of the Los Angeles County Fair, 25 Years of Stories” 7 p.m. in Benson Auditorium on the Pitzer College campus, 1050 N. Mills
Ave., Claremont, as Claremont Heritage restarts its monthly speaker/film/music series.
There will be time for questions after the presentation, and copies of the book will be available for purchase. Admission is free for members, $5 for nonmembers.
Summer concert series: The Pomona Concert Band presents “PCB’s Got Talent,” the fourth concert on its 75th annual summer concert series, 7:30p.m. at the G. Stanton Selby Bandshell, behind the Community Center building in Ganesha Park, 1575N. White Ave., Pomona.
