Nearly 140 golfers participated in the 40th Redlands Community Hospital Foundation Golf Classic for the Ken Corwin Cup, an event that raised $200,000 for the new Redlands Community Hospital Center for Cancer Care.

The Golf Classic was held June 16 at Redlands Country Club.

Over the years, the tournament has become Redlands Community Hospital Foundation’s largest and most visible fundraising event, according to a news release.

The tournament was managed by 60 volunteers from the Redlands Community Hospital Auxiliary, hospital staff and the Redlands Country Club, plus people from the community. The event raised funds through sponsorships, a live auction, raffles and participant fees.

Live auction items included Angels tickets donated by Tim Rochford and the Rochford Foundation, a Lake Arrowhead cabin getaway donated by Golf Classic committee member Tom Cutler and golf-related gifts including clothing and equipment.
