ROBERTA POKORSKI

January 22, 1929 - July 6, 2022

Roberta Pokorski, 93, loving wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2022, in Alta Loma, California. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on January 22, 1929, to Felix and Josephine (Gispanski) Krasinski and was the oldest of their three daughters. Roby was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Lenny and her sisters Dolores and Shirley.

She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where she met and married the love of her life, Leonard Pokorski. A few years later, they moved to their own home in Twinsburg, Ohio, where they raised their four children. They then moved to California in the late 1960’s and lived in Covina for many years before moving to Upland, California where they helped raise their grandchildren.

Roby spent her working career in the medical field as a nurse in a hospital and for doctors in private practice. She retired in the mid 1970’s.

Roby loved polka music, enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, reading, camping, traveling and being with her family and friends.

Roby is survived by her son Jerry, her son Jim and daughter-in-law Sandy, her daughter Susan and son-in-law Michael, her daughter Linda, her grandchildren (Jacqueline, Jonathan, Chad and Eric), 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Roby’s family and friends will be having a memorial service and gathering at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Roby’s favorite charities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Children’s Hospital or a favorite charity of those donating.
