- From staff reports

The city of Chino Hills invites residents to the annual Easter Egg-citement event scheduled 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 8 at Chino Hills Community Park, 3280 Eucalyptus Ave.

The free event includes egg hunts, photos with the Easter Bunny, a craft fair featuring homemade and boutique items, musical entertainment, activities and refreshments.

Easter egg hunts will begin at 10:30 a.m. for infants to 2-yearolds, at 11 a.m. for 3- and 4-yearolds, 11:30 a.m. for 5- and 6-yearolds, noon for 7- and 8-year-olds and 12:30 p.m. for 9- to 12-yearolds. Parents are allowed to assist children in the egg hunts for those 6 and younger.

The city will provide bags for the Easter egg hunts. Outside baskets and bags are not permitted.

For children with autism or any special needs, the city will host a smaller, more controlled egg hunt in a designated area at the event from 10 a.m. to noon.

At that event, children will be able to gather eggs at their own pace, and eggs will be placed both on the ground and on top of tables to make them accessible for children in wheelchairs. The city will provide bags to all children and butterfly catchers for children in wheelchairs who prefer to gather eggs from the ground.

There will also be an Easter craft fair featuring handmade craft items from local businesses, available for purchase. Applications are available online for vendors who would like to participate. The deadline to register as a vendor is March 24.

For information about the event or how to apply to be a vendor, go to chinohills.org/events or contact the Recreation Division at 909-364-2700.
