ROBERT “BOBBY” LAUSER

June 8, 1947 - February 18, 2023

Robert “Bobby” Joseph Lauser died on February 18, 2023 in Salinas, California. Survived by his siblings, Judy, David, John and Anthony Lauser; Bobby was a native of Pennsylvania, born in Pottstown on June 8, 1947. The Lauser family migrated from Newark, Delaware to San Bernardino, California in 1962 which is where Bobby began his high school career as a weekly music columnist for the Sun Telegram. Having a propensity for pop music, a self-professed ‘aficionado’, Bobby had already begun working as a production assistant at KMEN Radio Station for DJ Brian Lorde before graduating from Pacific High School in 1965. After high school, Bobby went on to form “Launo Productions” a combination namesake of his mother’s Italian maiden name, Turrano, and his paternal lineage surname. As a young producer with an eye and ear for talent, Bobby helped bands attain national (then AM) radio airplay. Bobby is well remembered by his family for being the first to play records by the likes of the Beatles and having early listening access to some of the greater musical acts of his time. He was a oneof-a-kind individual with a big heart and quicker than silver mind; his passion for music and deep love of animals was notable. Bobby’s epic educational and musical mixtapes will be missed. Having struggled with emotional difficulties for the majority of his life, Bobby was born at a time that wasn’t quite ready for him…and it is our hope that he now knows peace. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the ALS foundation.
