NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Monte Vista Water District Board of Directors will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., to receive public comments and consider adoption of a schedule of increases to the District’s current Private Fire service charge, only.
Any property owner or tenant directly responsible for the payment of Private Fire service charges may submit a written protest to the proposed charge increases. Written protests may be submitted by mail or in person to the District Secretary, 10575 Central Avenue, Montclair, California 91763. All written protests must be received before the end of the public comment portion of the public hearing. Only one protest will be counted per parcel affected by the charge increases. Each protest must identify the affected property (by assessor ’s parcel number or street address) and include the signature of the record property owner or tenant responsible for paying the bill. Any protest submitted via email or electronic means will not be accepted. The Board of Directors will hear and consider all written and oral protests to the proposed Private Fire service charge increases at the public hearing. Oral comments at the public hearing will not qualify as formal protests unless accompanied by a written protest. Upon conclusion of the public hearing, the Board of Directors will consider adoption of a resolution authorizing the charge increases as described herein.
The public may attend the public hearing at the District’s office (10575 Central Avenue in Montclair) or via video conference https://www. mvwd.org/boardmeeting. Any person unable to attend the public hearing may submit written comments to the District prior to the public hearing. All comments or inquiries should be directed to the District Secretary at (909) 624-0035 or boardsecretary@mvwd.org .

NOTICE CALLING FOR REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND PROPOSALS FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES (DESIGN-BUILD) FOR CALSHAPE PROJECT “RFQ/P 23/24-010 (Q/P) CALSHAPE”
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Upland Unified School District of San Bernardino County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as “District,” is requesting sealed proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive engineering and implementation services related to the development and administration of the California Schools Healthy Air, Plumbing, and Efficiency (CALSHAPE) Ventilation and Plumbing Programs up to but not later than 10:00 a.m. local time on February 7, 2024, at the Office of the Director of Maintenance, Operations, Transportation, and Construction of the Upland Unified School District, located at 1428 W 9th St. Upland, CA 91786 for the following: “RFQ/P 23/24-010 (Q/P) CALSHAPE” The California Schools Healthy Air, Plumbing, and Efficiency Program (CALSHAPE) Grant Application and Energy Program Implementation Services.

Downloads are available at no charge. Proposers shall be responsible for monitoring the website to obtain information regarding any revisions for this solicitation. All requests for information must be submitted in writing to Robyn Wilson, Director of Maintenance, Operations, Transportation, and Construction, via email at robyn_wilson@upland.k12.ca.us and received no later than 12:00 p.m. on January 31, 2024. Please reference all correspondence with the subject line “RFQ/P 23/24-010 (Q/P) CALSHAPE.” No other questions or requests for information will be accepted after this time and date.
The award of the contract will be on a “best value” evaluation method as outlined in the District’s proposal documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposals or in the proposal evaluation process. No proposer may withdraw any proposal for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the opening of the proposals.
Proposer and its subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates can be obtained from the Department of Industrial Relations at http://www. dir.ca.gov. Contractor and its subcontractors shall comply with the registration and qualification requirements pursuant to sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 of the California Labor Code.
