Richard Norman Miller, born July 10, 1943 to Thomas Ivan Miller and Doris Kalyce Miller in the city of San Bernardino, CA, passed away on January 24, 2024.

Richard was a graduate of Pacific High School and studied engineerin­g in college. He retired from GE Aviation in Ontario in 2001. Last residence was in Lake Elsinore, CA.

Richard leaves behind 5 children, Angela, Nicollette, Stephanie, Eric, and Jeffrey, 1 stepdaught­er, Dee Dee, and 3 grandchild­ren, Heather, Joshua, and Jade. He was predecease­d by his stepson, Michael.

Richard enjoyed many hobbies, including building model trains and control line airplanes, bicycle riding, camping, traveling, and square dancing. As a boy, Richard built and raced soap box derby cars, and, as an adult he modified a VW and drag-raced it. He enjoyed car races, especially Indy Car, and was fortunate to have the opportunit­y to drive an Indy Car at the Fontana Speedway.

A talented craftsman, Richard volunteere­d doing basic car maintenanc­e and repair for seniors and people in need. He also traveled to Mexico and Haiti on mission trips, using his skills to assist others.

A private memorial service will be held by family and friends. Interment will be at Montecito Memorial Park.
