Wes passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024 with family by his side. Wesley James Roth was born March 11,1938 to Harold and Ruth (Nelson) Roth of Pomona, CA. He was the oldest of the siblings and is survived by sisters Mary Balsiger from Wilsonvill­e, Oregon, and Kathy Holifield from Eagle, Colorado.

In 1961 Wes built Coates Schwinn Bicycle Store located at 760 East Foothill Blvd Pomona, CA. It was originally located on Second Street in Pomona. Wes built his store into one of the largest and most successful bicycle stores in the Inland Valley. For his 50th birthday he rode his bicycle across the United States with two friends from Newport Beach, California to Virginia Beach,virginia.

He attended Purpose Church in Pomona, California beginning in Junior High until the present.

His greatest character trait was GENEROSITY. He loved to help others and give of his time.

He married Jeri Frantz Lovenburg of La Verne, California in November of 1978 and they blended two families which included 5 children.

Wes had a tremendous heart and love for his family: Dawnelle (Roth) Roberts from Lawrencebu­rg, KY, Richard Roth from Alta Loma, CA; John Roth from Scottsdale, AZ; John Lovenburg from Southlake,tx; Julie (Lovenburg) Evangelist­o from Redlands, CA. Wes has 11 grandchild­ren and 9 great grandchild­ren.

He lived a prosperous and full life, enjoying travel in the United States, Asian and African countries with his wife, Jeri.

Services to Celebrate the Life Wes lived will be held Saturday, February 24th at 11 AM at Purpose Church, 586 N. Main Street, Pomona, CA. 91766. A luncheon will be provided immediatel­y following the Service.
