640 new homes coming to Winchester by 2026
Details have been released on 640 new homes coming to Winchester by 2026.
Regent Properties said it will break ground on the Soleada community in early 2025 on the community at Winchester Road and Domenigoni Parkway.
The Los Angeles-based developer already has made a mark on the area, building out Menifee Town Center, 10,000 residential lots and 1.2 million square feet of commercial real estate, according to Matthew Benbassat, chief operating officer at Regent Properties.
“The Winchester corridor is rapidly expanding, and we are excited for Soleada to be part of its continued growth,” he said.
The Spanish word soleada means “sunny” or “sunlit.” Regent is leaning into the area’s history in citrus, promising to deliver its new residents “a taste of California orchard life.”
The community, just east of Menifee, will include orange, lemon and grapefruit groves, which residents will be able to harvest.
When completed,
Soleada will have five neighborhoods with different styles ranging from single-family homes to attached townhomes: Village Del Sol, Legacy Grove, Pomelo Park, Wildhaven and Heartland.
The homes will come in 3- to 5-bedroom floor plans, ranging in size from 1,500 to 3,000-plus square feet. Pricing has not be released.
Amenities will feature clubhouses, dog parks, playgrounds, an indoor-outdoor gym, and even bikes for use on walking and biking paths.
Glass company leases property in Ontario
H Global Commerce, a commercial glass-sourcing business, has leased a 142,556-square-foot industrial property in Ontario, according to Stream Realty Partners.
Stream brokers said the company would occupy the entire building at 5401 E. Jurupa St., beginning in March.
The freestanding building includes a trucking and storage yard with 52 trailer parking spaces. The building is slated for renovation in the first quarter of 2024, before H Global moves in, Stream reps said.
“In the competitive landscape of the Inland Empire West submarket, securing the lease … in less than 120 days underscores the demand for industrial space in the area,” said Stefan Pastor at SRP.
Stream represented the building owner while H Global was represented by CBRE.
Speech, language clinic gets $142,000 grant
The Speech and Language Development Center in Temecula is getting a $142,000 grant from the Inland Empire Community Foundation through the Riverside County Nonprofit Assistance Fund program.
The money will go to the early intervention program at SLDC’S Temecula Clinic to expand developmental screenings, expand services and enhance community partnerships.
“We are immensely grateful for the Inland Empire Community Foundation’s support, which enables us to extend our reach and impact within the community,” said Adrienne Kessler, CEO of SLDC. “This grant not only allows us to serve more families but also strengthens our network of partnerships, ensuring that children in need receive timely and effective intervention. Together, we are setting a foundation for their future success.”

Banners, pavers available for Temecula veterans
Temecula has created two programs honoring active-duty military personnel and veterans.
A military banner program will display — at no charge to the family — the official military photo of a service person. The banners also will include their name, rank and branch of the US Armed Forces. They’ll be placed throughout Old Town Main and Front Streets and the Civic Center Plaza.
The city said banners are installed periodically throughout the year and will be displayed for eight to 19 months.
Recipients or family members will get their banners at the city’s annual Veterans Day event. Banners may be requested yearround.
The city also is building a Path of Honor at the Temecula Duck Pond at 28250 Ynez Road.
The path was created to memorialize veterans from all U.S. military forces. The pavers cost $185 and can be ordered year-round. The city will consolidate, engrave and place them on the path each November.
The deadline to reserve a 2024 paver is Aug. 9.
For more information about the programs, go to Temeculaca.gov/veterans or call the Temecula Community Services Department at 951-694-6480.
In case you missed it …
CVS Health said it is closing 25 Minuteclinics in Southern California by late February. The drugstore would not say which clinics were shuttering or how many jobs would be affected by the closures. CVS said it “made the difficult decision to close 25 Minuteclinic locations in the greater Los Angeles area by Feb. 25 to help support future growth and design the next evolution of community health destinations.”
