SUBTRACTING FROM THE SURFACE

I’ve applied diluted black ink to the eyes and rescratched them again. I try to keep my scratchboards subtractive only and avoid adding any ink, but for the eyes a subtle grey wash helps give them a glassy appearance. Adding the catch lights last brings the subject to life.
