With questions and their genuine answers, they develop a clear path to making a purchase.

Establish these points with carefully designed questions.

How many works do you own now or what artists do you like best? Do you have works by this artist?

Test whether their destination is really where they want to be!

Do you want more works by this artist? Is my work like theirs?

Other questions ascertain if they have the right resources.

Where do you live or what do you do?

More questions show the shortest link from where they are now to where they want to be.

Would you like to buy this work?

Asking questions is finding out.

Your prospective clients state their explicit needs so plan more questions. Have prospects tell their needs and the payoff for them if they are satisfied. The more you can find out from a prospect. The better chance you’ll have of being able to supply exactly what they want.

These questions are planned in advance.

Not used until the problems have been identified. Not used if you don’t have the answers. Best when you can meet the client’s need. Best before offering any solution (you could still be wrong). They should build enthusiasm in client.

Know an artist who wants people to buy and also have a referral website?

Best wishes in your art career in 2020 and the future as well.
