The the Junior Livestock Show kicked off this week, which will culminate with the traditional auction set for Saturday at the Eastern Sierra Tri-County Fairgrounds.

For the Junior Livestock Show, local 4H, FFA and Grange exhibitors come together to show their hard work and dedication to their livestock projects.

The show began Wednesday and runs through Saturday, June 25 at the fairgrounds.

Rabbits, turkeys, chickens, goats, lambs, pigs and cattle will be shown.

A complete show schedule can be found on the Tri County fair website, TriCountyFair.com

A livestream is provided by Laughing Parrot Productions and the link is also on the website.

The Junior Livestock Auction is Saturday, June 25, in the Sale Barn.

The Buyer Preview and Tri-Tip Lunch begins at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Charles Brown Auditorium with the sale beginning at 1 p.m.

Buyers can register online on the Tri-County Fair website or in person.

Buyers can purchase an entire animal or split with others.

All animals are homegrown, no preservatives or additives in the meat, which makes for a great healthy option for a pure product.

Add-ons will be accepted in person or online. AddOns will be open from June 25 through July 1. Look for the add-on link on the Fair’s website. Add-ons are a flat dollar amount that can be added on to any exhibitor or exhibitors. This is a great option to help exhibitors without buying an animal.

The funds raised at the auction are often put into savings accounts for college and most exhibitors invest in next year’s projects.
